What is the NDIS?

The NDIS provides people with a disability greater choice and control to achieve their goals and aspirations.

The NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and it is a new way for people with disabilities to get funding to pay for the supports they need.

All Australian residents with a permanent disability or mental health disability may be eligible if they need support for the rest of their life, or to reduce the amount of long-term support needed.

Each eligible person will have a personalised NDIS plan that includes their goals and funding amount. Choice and control are an integral part of the plan, including choice over providers, therapists, assistive technology etc, where it has been deemed reasonable and necessary.

Give a Care is a registered NDIS provider.
