What does GAC do?
Give a Care (GAC) is a disability service provider. GAC works to empower people living with a disability to make choices that improve their wellbeing and support them to live meaningful lives.
GAC provides a range of support services to assist our clients’ daily living and lifestyle choices, as well as community activities and special interests.
GAC is also a TAC (Transport Accident Commission) and WorkSafe Victoria accredited service provider.
How much does GAC cost?
GAC fees adhere to the fee structure outlined in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines. These fees are updated on a regular basis and clients new to the NDIS may be subject to an establishment fee. For more information on the NDIS fee structure please visit www.ndis.gov.au.
GAC recognises that many people in the community are not eligible for Government-funded services or require more support than their funding provides. Therefore, we also offer our suite of services to private clients, who wish to be invoiced personally.
What services does GAC offer?
GAC provides a range of support services to assist people living with a disability including:
Your Daily Living
Support for you to live the life you choose at home, in the community, at school, or at work. We provide one-on-one support seven days a week.
Your Healthy Lifestyle
Individually or in a group, we will work with you to build and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Simply tell us what you’re interested in and we will support you to make it happen.
Your Community Activities
Would you like to join a social group or community activity? We will help you to find the right activities or community events and support you to be active in your community.
Your Special Interests
Whatever your special interests are, we will support you to make it happen. We believe making time to have fun is important to everyone. Plus, we’ll be there to have fun with you too.
How does payment work?
We process claims and invoices on a fortnightly basis, and claim for services if support is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
GAC does not monitor the amount participants have remaining in their NDIS plan – it is the participant’s responsibility not to overspend.
